What is documentary family photojournalism?
It is unposed moments. Genuine emotion. Imperfect hair. Alligator tears. Tag. Cartwheels. Finger painting. Tantrums. Funny Faces. Peek-A-Boo. It is all the small things that make up our everyday. It is the authentic moments between parent and child(ren) or siblings. This is not where I carefully pose everyone while they look into the camera and smile. This is where I step back and allow the time to organically unfold while I take photos to tell your family's story and convey all the emotions around it.
